Celebrating in digital times

We’ve all learned in the last two years: Yes, working at home works just fine, and yes, virtual meetings via videocall also have their advantages. So factually, there’s little missing to get the job done without restrictions. But what we miss more and more is the personal contact on site with all senses – both with each other and with you.
That’s why we were more than happy that a breather from the Corona pandemic allowed us to hold our traditional company party in 2021 – this time not in the summer, but in October. Our popular summer party was an absolute highlight this year after the long period of mainly virtual meetings.

Fresh employees have fresh ideas

For the whole team, the program is always a surprise, except for our organizers, who are always the two newest members of the company. This year it was Sara Hernández and Johann Neugebauer from our service team.

The first time in 2021 all live and in real together

Indeed, on the morning of that October day, we met for the first time in full 2021 full of curiosity and anticipation of personal encounters and real experiences together. A short bus ride through the gray Bonn morning brought us to our first stop: soccer golf. In a boisterous mood, we set out in four teams to tackle this sporting challenge. The competition was on. You don’t know soccer golf? In short: 18 lanes where, like golf, the goal is to get a ball into a hole with as few “shots” as possible, using your feet to get around obstacles. Sounds simple. But it isn’t.

With the sun on high

Shortly after the start, the clouds opened up and the October sun heated us up, which gave the best mood another boost. With a lot of hello and enthusiasm and the one or other saying, the courses were played more or less seriously, but always with full passion. The get-together in front of a fantastic panoramic backdrop was balm for the battered home office soul.
After the atmospheric lunch outside in the bright sunshine, the performances were illuminated, discussed, smiled at, regretted and doubted in heated discussions, but ultimately the winners were crowned in a sporting manner. We all felt like winners by then anyway.

Tasty insight into local beverage production

A short walk brought us to our second program item of the day, a small but fine beverage producer in Bonn. After a guided tour through the production facilities and very interesting and exciting insider insights into the local and German beverage market, the joyfully awaited tasting of the products followed, including an exquisite regional beer. In ever-changing groups, the day came to a pleasant and cheerful end.

Virtual needs real

And the moral of the story? Digital does not replace reality! Even today, we don’t know exactly what contact between you and us will look like in the future. But we promise you that we will continue to be there for you personally as a team. We will stand by you as partners as always, and look forward to the challenges we will face together.
