NEWS . New official vehicle registration data and new data on electromobility now available as data sets

Fresh official data input
The latest and annually updated vehicle registration data from the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) is now available for all of Germany and can be obtained from us. This data is processed and refined by our corporate sister, the data science specialists at infas 360. The data can be easily integrated into easymap and can thus be easily included in your calculations.

The basis for numerous insights
My living environment, my car, my status: Particularly when combined with other microgeographic data, vehicle data is not only relevant for companies in the automotive industry, but also offers all users valuable insights into the attitudes, behavior and lifestyles of consumers in any region for market, customer and target group analyses.

We would like to introduce you to three highly topical and exciting data sets:

DATASET OFFICIAL VEHICLE DATA
The KBA’s basic data shows, at the level of registration districts, the current stock of motor vehicles and trailers by vehicle and size class, the stock of passenger cars by fuel type and emission group, as well as new registrations, changes of ownership and de-registrations by vehicle class, owner group or economic sector.
These data can also be evaluated for counties, municipalities, 5-digit postal codes and more detailed territorial levels. At the postal code level, additional data is available for existing or newly registered passenger cars, such as private/commercial registration, makes/models, manufacturers/groups and segments/fuel types.

DATASET ELECTROMOBILITY
Electromobility is a central topic for life and mobility today and in the future. Using historical vehicle data such as fuel types, infas 360 developed an index on the development of electromobility since 2018 to 2021 per year. This includes the share of electric vehicles in the passenger car population per zip code. You can also obtain this dataset from us.

DATASET E-CHARGING STATIONS
A key indicator in connection with electromobility is the distribution of e-charging station locations in Germany. This is also available nationwide and with exact addresses as a POI (Points of Interest) dataset as of July 2021. In total, this dataset contains approximately 25,000 locations with additional information on operators, connection lines and number of charging points.
