Dear easymap office users

We have just successfully released the new version of easymap office 12.1, when a Microsoft update creates an unexpected problem. Rest assured that our entire team is working at full speed and exclusively on a solution, together with Microsoft! These things should not happen, but now it has unfortunately hit us once. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience, even if the cause of the problem is beyond our control. Of course we will inform you on all common channels when a solution is ready for you. easymap office stands for highest quality and we will stay true to this claim.

What is the problem?

The Microsoft update KB5006670 (2021-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems) dated 10/13/2021. There is an incompatible change in a DLL which causes certain icons, graphs and charts in easymap office to not display correctly at this time.

If you have not yet installed this update, the issue does not affect you. In this case, we recommend to wait with the installation of the Microsoft update until we provide a solution in order to ensure the smooth use of easymap office. In any case, please consult with your IT.

Which easymap office versions are affected?

To our knowledge, all versions of easymap office are currently affected.

What can I do immediately?

You can uninstall the Micorosoft update KB5006670, then everything will work as it should again. Again, please talk to your IT.

When comes a solution?

As I said, we are all working on this completely unexpected problem with absolute priority. We are in close exchange with Microsoft. We will provide a solution as soon as possible.
